missingWrote a review on Dec 29friendly staffcomfortable bedoutdated furnishingspoor ventilationlimited wi-fi
The King Room with Garden View featured large windows that would be delightful in warmer months. Breakfast was a standout, especially the buttery croissants and hearty Staffordshire oat cakes. both were delicious and set a great tone for the day. While the atmosphere was inviting, the overall furnishings felt a bit outdated, and the bathroom could have used better ventilation for a refreshing start. The limited Wi-Fi connectivity also posed a challenge during my stay.

The breakfast was a decent hearty meal to start the day.
During my stay, the flooring was incredibly creaky, which was annoying and disruptive. The shower was too compact, making it feel crammed and uncomfortable. To top it all off, I had issues with the bathroom ventilation which made the atmosphere quite stuffy.

Positive, Sam and Richard were amazing hosts who made us feel like friends. Our room had a separate hallway for muddy boots, which was great after hiking. Breakfast was plentiful, with a fantastic full English! We laughed a lot and had a blast overall. Can't wait to return! 😊

Comfortable and clean room with beautiful views, but some bathroom fixtures needed attention. The friendly staff made dining enjoyable, with solid pub fare and ample choices. While some areas could use a bit of sprucing up, the overall experience was pleasant and restful.

Couples seeking a comfy stay
The breakfast was just excellent,, cooked to order,, and Samantha really accommodated our dietary needs like a pro! I mean, who doesn’t love oatcakes and gluten-free toast in the morning,, right?
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but it was still reasonable for what we got.

Charming stay with stunning views
Had a lovely night in a cozy place with gorgeous views of the Dales. Samantha was super attentive, even helping us with some local tips. The home-cooked breakfast hit the spot! Only wish there was a bit more choice in the bar menu. that would have made it even better.

Our dog-friendly room was splendid, with a cozy patio and a grassy area for the pups. The rooms were immaculate, and we had a delightful evening playing darts in a fantastic atmosphere.
But honestly, the food was a bit of a mystery—I'm still not sure what was in that chicken. I felt like I was in a sleep deprivation experiment thanks to the creaky floors.

The King Room had a spacious layout and was spotless. Super comfy pillows and the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. Plus, the views from the windows were amazing! The only downside was that the bathroom could use some upgrades, and the shower was slightly cramped. But overall, it was a cozy stay with a nice vibe!

Couples getaway recommended
The food served was surprisingly good and definitely not what you'd expect from a pub. The chef has skills seriously, it was like fine dining just without the frills, my lamb was perfectly cooked and hot, almost felt too nice for the place. And to top it off, the staff were super friendly, the table service was quick, except for the bit where i had to flag down someone to get my drink.
